Welcome to DeFee Guitars, the home of handcrafted acoustic instruments in pursuit of sound and beauty made from both traditional and alternative tone woods. Each instrument is built from scratch using traditional methods including hand carved scalloped braces, hand bent sides, and hand carved necks. The braces and top plates are thinned as much as possible to provide the best tonal qualities. The finish is hand sanded and sprayed with multiple coats of lacquer, allowed to cure for two weeks and then wet sanded and buffed to a glossy shine.
